2N LEGAL

Privacy Policy

Information about how 2N handles privacy and personal data.

Effective date: 9 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ümitcan Çengel ("2N", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the 2N mobile application, the playable web demo, and related pages on play2n.com (together, the "Services").

Contact: support@play2n.com

1. Summary

  • You can use 2N without creating an account.
  • Game progress, settings, statistics, and a randomly generated local player ID are stored on your device or in your browser. We do not receive this gameplay data.
  • The mobile app may use Google AdMob to display ads. Google and its advertising partners may process device, advertising, interaction, and diagnostic data as described below.
  • A one-time Remove Ads purchase may be offered through the relevant app store. Apple processes payment details, while RevenueCat helps us validate purchases and manage the entitlement.
  • The website currently uses no advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or contact form. The playable demo uses browser local storage so that it can remember progress and preferences.

2. Information handled by the Services

A. Information stored locally

The mobile app stores the following information locally using on-device storage:

  • a randomly generated player ID that is not connected to a name, email address, or account;
  • onboarding status;
  • language, theme, and haptic preferences;
  • active game state, selected or eliminated cells, elapsed time, hints, and mistakes;
  • daily puzzle progress, completed and failed dates, streaks, awards, wins, and gameplay statistics; and
  • information needed to unlock difficulty levels and resume an unfinished game.

The web demo may store equivalent information in your browser's local storage. This local data is used only to provide game functionality and is not sent to us. You can remove mobile data by deleting the app and web-demo data by clearing site data for play2n.com in your browser.

B. Advertising and consent data

The mobile app may display ads through Google AdMob and use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect and store privacy choices where required. Depending on your region, device settings, and consent choices, Google and participating advertising partners may process information such as:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • device, app, and advertising identifiers permitted by your device settings;
  • app name and version, device model, operating system, and language;
  • ads shown, impressions, views, clicks, rewarded-ad completion, and other interactions;
  • performance information, crash logs, and diagnostics; and
  • consent signals and advertising preferences.

This information may be used to provide contextual or personalised advertising, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain and improve advertising services. The exact processing depends on your choices and applicable law.

We do not currently request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission and do not intentionally access the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA). Google may still process other identifiers and information permitted by your device settings and consent choices.

For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

C. Purchases

The mobile app may offer a one-time, non-consumable Remove Ads purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment-card or bank-account details.

When purchase features are available, we use RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore entitlements, and determine whether Remove Ads is active. RevenueCat may process:

  • an automatically assigned anonymous app user ID;
  • app, platform, store, product, and entitlement identifiers;
  • transaction receipts, purchase status, and purchase history; and
  • limited device, locale, and app-version information needed to operate and protect the purchase service.

RevenueCat uses this information for app functionality, purchase validation, fraud prevention, customer history, and service analytics. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

D. Website and web demo

The public pages on play2n.com currently use no advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or contact form. The playable demo uses browser local storage to save progress and preferences.

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may temporarily process standard server-log information such as IP address, browser or device type, requested URL, and request date and time. This information is used to deliver the website, maintain security, diagnose technical issues, and prevent abuse.

We do not currently use PostHog or another third-party product-analytics service. If analytics is introduced, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, obtain consent before the change takes effect.

E. Support communications

If you contact us, we process the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and technical details. We use it to respond, investigate problems, prevent abuse, and maintain a record of the support request. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

If a contact form is added to the website later, information submitted through it will be handled in the same way as support email and this Policy will be updated where necessary.

3. Why we process information

Depending on the information and your location, we rely on one or more of the following grounds:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the game, purchases, purchase restoration, and requested support.
  • Consent: for personalised advertising, storage or access that requires consent, and related processing in regions where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate and secure the Services, provide non-personalised or contextual ads where permitted, diagnose problems, prevent fraud and abuse, and respond to support requests.
  • Legal obligations: to comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, law-enforcement, and regulatory requirements.

4. When information is shared

We may share or permit processing of information only as needed with:

  • Google and advertising partners for consent management, ad delivery, measurement, security, and fraud prevention;
  • Apple for App Store distribution, payment processing, refunds, and purchase restoration;
  • RevenueCat for purchase validation and entitlement management;
  • hosting and infrastructure providers needed to operate the website and Services;
  • professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
  • a successor operator if the Services or their relevant assets are transferred, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money. Depending on your region and choices, advertising partners' processing may be treated as "sharing", "targeted advertising", or a "sale" under certain privacy laws. You may use the controls described below to opt out where applicable.

5. Your advertising and privacy choices

  • Where required, the mobile app displays a Google UMP message before requesting ads.
  • You may consent, refuse consent, or manage individual options in that message.
  • A Privacy Choices control in the app settings lets eligible users reopen the message and change or withdraw their choices.
  • You may also use your iOS privacy and advertising settings and Google's My Ad Center controls.
  • Refusing personalised advertising does not necessarily remove ads; you may receive contextual or non-personalised ads instead.
  • If Remove Ads is active, the app will not request or display third-party ads for that entitlement on the supported platform.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.

6. Retention

  • Local game and preference data remains on your device or in your browser until you remove the app, clear the relevant browser data, or use a reset feature if one is made available.
  • Support communications are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain security and support records, and meet legal obligations.
  • Advertising, purchase, transaction, and server-log information is retained by the relevant service provider according to its policies and legal obligations.
  • We delete or anonymise information under our control when it is no longer reasonably needed, unless a longer period is required by law.

7. International transfers

Google, Apple, RevenueCat, and infrastructure providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, they and we rely on recognised safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent, and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

Because 2N has no account system and local gameplay data is not transmitted to us, we generally cannot identify or retrieve that local data. You can delete it directly by removing the app or clearing play2n.com site data. For information that we do control, contact support@play2n.com. We may need to verify your request and may retain limited information where required by law.

9. Children

2N is a general-audience puzzle game and is not specifically directed to children or offered in a dedicated children's category. We do not knowingly ask children to provide names, email addresses, or accounts. If you are below the age at which you may consent to data processing in your country, use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information under our control. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the Services, third-party SDKs, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised version at play2n.com/privacy and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
